Calculate how many liters or kilograms of paint you need for walls, ceilings, facades or another surface.
Formula
- Material = area, m² × consumption per 1 m² × number of coats.
- With allowance: material × (1 + allowance / 100).
- Packages = material with allowance / can size.
What to consider
- Use the consumption per m² from the label or technical sheet of your paint.
- Porous surfaces, high color contrast and long-pile rollers can increase real consumption.
Calculation questions
What paint consumption should I enter?
Enter the value from the can or technical sheet: for example 0.12-0.18 l/m² for one coat. If the manufacturer gives a range, use the upper value for purchasing.
Can I calculate paint in kilograms?
Yes. If consumption is stated in kg/m², enter the package size in kilograms as well, and the result will be in kg.
