Description

Silicone sealant “Universal” forms an elastic, non-shrinking, and water-resistant seam. It is used for sealing seams and joints during construction work, sealing deformation joints, and protecting structures from external influences.

The material is suitable for glass, wood, tile, ceramic, plastic, PVC, polystyrene, primed metal, and mineral substrates when manufacturer recommendations are followed. White and transparent variants help match light surfaces or make the joint line less visible.

Before application, surfaces should be dry, strong, level, and cleaned of dust, dirt, ice, frost, mould, grease, old coatings, and loose particles. Porous or weakened substrates should be pretreated with Lacrysil primer concentrate diluted 1:10 and dried.

Apply the sealant evenly in a continuous layer into the working cavity, then shape the seam with a spatula moistened in soapy water or with a special template. Recommended seam size is from 2x2 to 6x6 mm.

Use when the product and ambient temperature is +0°C ... +40°C. Final layer formation takes 24-48 hours and depends on the substrate, seam geometry, and ambient conditions. Avoid direct contact with natural stone, metal, and mirror surfaces.

Benefits
  • forms an elastic, non-shrinking, and water-resistant seam;
  • suitable for sealing seams, joints, and deformation connections;
  • can be applied at temperatures from +0°C to +40°C;
  • compatible with many construction substrates, including glass, wood, tile, plastic, and PVC;
  • available in white and transparent variants;
  • compact pack sizes suit local repair, while 0.28 kg suits a larger amount of work.
Where to use
  • sealing seams and joints during construction work;
  • sealing deformation joints;
  • insulating structures from external influences;
  • work with glass, wood, tile, ceramic, plastic, and PVC;
  • joints on mineral substrates, including concrete, brick, gypsum, and plasterboard;
  • local repair and installation work where an elastic water-resistant seam is needed.
How to choose a variant
  • white 50 g is convenient for small light-colored seams and local repair;
  • white 0.28 kg suits a larger amount of work on light surfaces;
  • transparent 48 g is useful for a discreet seam on a small area;
  • transparent 0.28 kg suits a larger amount of work where the joint line should not stand out;
  • for natural stone, metal, and mirrors, choose another material because the manufacturer recommends avoiding direct contact.
How to use
  • clean the substrate from dust, dirt, ice, frost, mould, grease, old coatings, and loose particles;
  • treat porous or weakened surfaces with Lacrysil primer concentrate diluted 1:10 and let them dry;
  • make sure the product and ambient temperature is within +0°C ... +40°C;
  • fill the working cavity with an even continuous layer;
  • shape the seam with a spatula moistened in soapy water or with a special template;
  • allow for the recommended seam size of 2x2-6x6 mm and layer formation time of 24-48 hours.

FAQ: use, consumption, and common mistakes
  • What is it suitable for?
    Universal silicone sealant for an elastic water-resistant seam, sealing joints, and protecting structures from external influences.

  • When is it not suitable?
    Do not apply to wet, greasy, dusty, or weak substrates; permanent water immersion requires a separate compatibility check.

  • What is the consumption or yield?
    Product specification guide: 12 linear m (6x6 mm seam). For an exact estimate, consider area, joint size, application method, and substrate condition.

  • How long does the layer dry or form?
    Product specification guide: 24 - 48 hours. Cold, humidity, or a thick layer can increase the waiting time before loading.

  • What are the common mistakes?
    Applying over an old weak layer, skipping cleaning, wrong joint geometry, and water contact before the layer forms.
