Description

MS Polymer “Universal” adhesive-sealant combines the properties of a mounting adhesive and a sealant. It is used when an element needs to be bonded and a seam, joint, or gap needs to be filled neatly.

The hybrid MS polymer compound is suitable for interior and exterior work with a wide range of materials: concrete, brick, stone, slate, gypsum, plasterboard, plaster, ceramic tile, porcelain, wood and wood-based materials, cork, bamboo, metals, plastics, enamelled and glass products, and mirrors.

The adhesive-sealant is used for installing sandwich panels, ventilation, thermal insulation and roofing systems, sealing seams and joints, sealing insulated glass units, window and door blocks, joints operating under vibration loads, and final facade finishing work.

Before application, working surfaces must be strong, level, and cleaned of dust, dirt, mould, grease stains, and particles that are poorly bonded to the substrate. At the start of work, moderately moisten the contact surfaces and make sure the product and ambient temperature are within +5°C ... +40°C.

For sealing, fill the working gap with a continuous layer and shape the seam with a spatula moistened with soapy solution. When used as a mounting adhesive, apply the product in strips or spots to one contact surface, then press the elements firmly and fix them in place. Final seam formation takes 24-48 hours and depends on materials, layer thickness, and ambient conditions.

Benefits

  • combines adhesive and sealant functions;

  • suitable for interior and exterior work;

  • can be used for mounting and sealing seams, joints, and gaps;

  • compatible with a wide range of construction and decorative materials;

  • keeps seam properties in the range of -40°C ... +100°C;

  • available in white and transparent variants.

Where to use

  • installation of sandwich panels, ventilation, thermal insulation, and roofing systems;

  • sealing seams, joints, and gaps between construction elements;

  • sealing insulated glass units, window and door blocks;

  • joints operating under vibration loads;

  • final facade finishing work;

  • work with concrete, brick, stone, gypsum, wood, metal, plastic, glass, and mirrors.

How to choose a variant

  • white 85 g is convenient for small repairs, local mounting, and small seams;

  • white 0.4 kg suits a larger amount of mounting and sealing work;

  • transparent 50 g is useful when a discreet seam is needed on a small area;

  • transparent 0.28 kg suits neat joints and work where the bond line should not stand out.

How to use

  • clean the substrate of dust, dirt, mould, grease stains, and unstable particles;

  • moderately moisten contact surfaces before work;

  • make sure product and ambient temperature is within +5°C ... +40°C;

  • for sealing, fill the gap with a continuous layer and shape the seam with a spatula;

  • as an adhesive, apply in strips or spots to one surface;

  • avoid a continuous layer and strip merging during mounting.

FAQ: use, consumption, and common mistakes
  • What is it suitable for?
    Universal adhesive-sealant based on hybrid MS polymer for mounting and sealing seams and joints indoors and outdoors.

  • When is it not suitable?
    Do not use as a replacement for mechanical fixing where the element manufacturer requires anchors or dowels; do not bond over dust, grease, or weak layers.

  • What is the consumption or yield?
    Product specification guide: 15 linear m (5x5 mm seam). For an exact estimate, consider area, joint size, application method, and substrate condition.

  • How long does the layer dry or form?
    Product specification guide: 24 - 48 hours. Cold, humidity, or a thick layer can increase the waiting time before loading.

  • What are the common mistakes?
    Weak substrate preparation, loading too early, uneven pressing, and choosing adhesive without considering element weight.
