Description

Acrylic adhesive “La Crystal” is designed for interior fixing of coverings based on natural materials on traditional construction surfaces.

The adhesive based on acrylic copolymer dispersions and modifiers is used for tile and roll cork coverings, bamboo and jute materials, and heavy wallpaper. The formula includes an enhanced fungicidal protection system intended for work with natural materials.

Before application, working surfaces must be dry, strong, level, and cleaned of dust, dirt, grease, old paint, loose particles, and other contaminants. Porous substrates should be pre-treated with Lacrysil primer concentrate diluted 1:10 and dried. The material to be bonded should be kept unfolded until fully straightened.

Stir the adhesive until uniform, apply a sufficient amount to the contact surface of the substrate, and spread it evenly. After joining the surfaces, press the material firmly and evenly and fix it until setting, approximately 10-15 minutes.

If the substrate has limited moisture absorption, keep the adhesive layer in open air for 10-15 minutes before joining it with the material. Initial setting is usually about 15 minutes, during which the material can be adjusted. The freshly applied adhesive layer is milky white and becomes transparent after drying. Do not mix with other adhesive types and do not dilute with water.

Benefits
  • designed for interior work with natural coverings;
  • suitable for cork tile and roll materials;
  • used for bamboo, jute materials, and heavy wallpaper;
  • the fresh layer is milky white and becomes transparent after drying;
  • allows material adjustment during the initial setting time;
  • available in transparent 1 kg, 2.5 kg, and 5 kg pack sizes.
Where to use
  • bonding cork tile coverings;
  • installing roll cork materials;
  • fixing bamboo and jute coverings;
  • working with heavy wallpaper;
  • interior finishing work on traditional construction surfaces;
  • substrates made of concrete, brick, gypsum, plasterboard, stone, wood, tile, and other compatible materials.
How to choose a variant
  • 1 kg is convenient for local repair, a small area, or a trial installation;
  • 2.5 kg suits medium-sized work with cork, bamboo, jute, or wallpaper;
  • 5 kg is useful for a larger area and repeated covering installation;
  • all variants provide a transparent result after the adhesive layer dries.
How to use
  • clean the substrate from dust, dirt, grease, old paint, and loose particles;
  • treat porous substrates with Lacrysil primer concentrate diluted 1:10 and let them dry;
  • keep the material unfolded until fully straightened;
  • stir the adhesive until uniform and apply it evenly to the substrate;
  • join the surfaces, press firmly, and fix for approximately 10-15 minutes;
  • for substrates with limited absorption, keep the adhesive layer in open air for 10-15 minutes before joining.

FAQ: use, consumption, and common mistakes
  • What is it suitable for?
    Transparent acrylic adhesive for interior fixing of coverings based on natural materials: cork, bamboo, jute, and heavy wallpaper.

  • When is it not suitable?
    Do not use as a replacement for mechanical fixing where the element manufacturer requires anchors or dowels; do not bond over dust, grease, or weak layers.

  • What is the consumption or yield?
    Product specification guide: 0.25 - 0.5 kg/m². For an exact estimate, consider area, joint size, application method, and substrate condition.

  • How long does the layer dry or form?
    Product specification guide: 24 - 48 hours. Cold, humidity, or a thick layer can increase the waiting time before loading.

  • What are the common mistakes?
    Weak substrate preparation, loading too early, uneven pressing, and choosing adhesive without considering element weight.
